Adult = Pornographic
Yahoo! sent me an email today to tell me that in a few days they will be deleting photos in all accounts that are marked as “adult.” I marked my account as adult so that the kids wouldn’t IM me when I was working online.
Yahoo! seems to think that adults are intrinsically pornographic. I guess they never read the garbage some of those self-styled Lolitas ask about on Yahoo! Answers.
Here’s my answer, followed by the letter.
I am utterly appalled to find out that you allowed pornography on Yahoo! with all the children who come here.
Now. I made my profile “adult” because I don’t want a bunch of Yahoo!ligans emailing me. How the heck was I supposed to know that you people equate adulthood with pornography? Good grief!
Don’t delete my picture. It’s just me at work.
